their New Business Partners at Hostech by TUSID

- 19th Hospitality Technologies Exhibition, where the latest innovations in
hospitality technologies are showcased, attracted great attention. Organized at
CNR Expo Center on November 18-22, 2009, the exhibition was productive and
successful for attendees aiming to increase their market share and export
volume. The exhibition, organized by CNR Ekspo Fairs with the support of TUSID
(Turkish Food Service, Laundry & Service Equipment Manufacturers and Businessmen
Association), hosted a total number of 43.450 professional visitors including
1.583 foreign professionals.
The exhibition was the meeting point for the hospitality sector in Turkey, which
is expected to receive a 24-billion-dollar investment in hospitality&
accommodation till 2023. The event, where the industry representatives had the
opportunity to showcase their experience and innovations, was organized at an
area of 40.000 sqm with the participation of 350 exhibitor companies.
The visiting countries at the exhibition were Austria, Germany, Syria, the UK,
Iran, the Netherlands, UAE, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Romania, Greece,
Bulgaria, France, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, CIS countries, Hong Kong, Poland,
Portugal, Sweden, Iraq, Switzerland, Taiwan, the USA, Tunisia and Morocco.
Among the associations supporting the fair through visitor promotion were
Societe Syrienne Des Hoteliers (SYRITEL) from Syria, Israel Hotel Association
(IHA) from Israel, Romanian Hotel Industry Federation (FIHR) from Romania,
Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) from Bulgaria and Greek Hotel
Association from Greece. 160 buyers from Middle East, Greece and Bulgaria were
hosted during the show via the agencies working at those regions.
Organized biennially, Hostech by TUSID hosted exhibitors from Germany, Italy,
Russia, China, Syria and Greece.
In order to support Turkish gastronomy the 1st National Cooking Competition was
organized during the fair in 4 categories. Haci Abdullah Restaurant ranked the
first in “Merchant Diner Equipment Category”, while Osmani ranked the second and
Hasirli Osmanli ranked the third. Sheraton Istanbul was the first in “5 Star
Pastry and Baked Products Category” followed by Polat Renaissance as the second;
and Agaoglu My City Hotel & Titanic Asia Hotel, which together shared the third
place. And Ceylan Intercontinental ranked the first in “5 Star Chefs Category”
while Sheraton Atakoy ranked the second and Moevenpick Hotel ranked the third.
In “Cooking School Category” Abant Izzet Baysal University ranked the first,
Kucukcekmece IMKB Anatolian Hotel Management and Tourism Vocational High School
ranked the second and Kucukkoy Vocational School for Girls and Beykent
University Catering and Cookery Vocational School shared the third place.
